This stamp is one of a set of six celebrating traditional masks of African peoples, none of which strangely is found in Liberia. This stamp depicts a mukenga mask of the Kuba (also known as Bakuba) people of the Democratic Republic of Congo. More oddly still, it is misidentified on the stamp as coming from the Baluba people, also of the Congo, who do not use such masks.
