This stamp was by Bhutan in 2014 as one of a series celebrating Bhutan’s intangible cultural heritage. The stamp depicts the Shawa Shachi (The Stag and Hounds), a dance-drama featuring a hunter (Gyonpo Dorjé, also called Acho) and his manservant (the clown Pento) who use two dogs (played by masked dancers) to hunt a stag (also a masked dancer), but who are interrupted by a priest, Milarepa, wearing a white mask, who humbles the hunter and teaches him that hunting the deer violates the Buddhist precept of nonviolence. The stamp is denominated as 20 ngultrum.
